Siment— Speckled Stone Glaze
Rows of overlapping fish-scale relief wrap the full body of this tapered planter, each scallop catching light on its curve and holding shadow in its recess. The reactive glaze pools amber-brown in the grooves and breaks to speckled cream across the raised faces — a finish that varies naturally from piece to piece and gives the surface real depth up close.
The wide flared rim is edged in a warm caramel band that darkens toward the lip, with a smooth cream interior. The tapered profile draws the eye downward and keeps a large pot from feeling bulky.
Generous enough for a mature specimen — a fiddle-leaf fig, monstera, olive, or a full fern — and equally striking empty as a sculptural floor piece. Suits a sunroom, entryway, covered patio, or conservatory corner.
Features
- Glazed ceramic with hand-applied reactive glaze — tonal variation is natural to the finish
- Deep carved fish-scale relief across the full body
- Flared rim with contrasting caramel edge band
- Tapered silhouette with a stable footed base
- Drainage: [pre-drilled— confirm]
Care
Wipe the relief with a soft damp cloth or a dry brush; the recessed scallops collect dust more than a flat surface will. Avoid abrasive cleaners. Use a saucer or pot feet on wood and other porous floors. In frost-prone climates, move indoors for winter — glazed ceramic can crack in a hard freeze.
