Embossed Ceramic Storage Jar — Dark Treacle Glaze
A compact lidded jar in a deep treacle glaze that runs almost black in the recesses and breaks to warm copper across the raised detail. The faceted body carries embossed decorative panels — scrollwork above a fine lattice ground — and the domed lid repeats the motif around a rounded knob.
The glaze is where this piece earns its place. It’s a reactive finish, so the brown pools and streaks unpredictably, giving each jar its own map of light and dark. High gloss throughout, so it catches every bit of light in a room.
Small enough for a countertop or open shelf without crowding it. Good for sugar, loose tea, spices, or small dry goods, and handsome enough to leave out permanently.
