Behind the Scenes: How We Source Factory-Direct

A lot of what ends up in stores has passed through two or three hands before it gets there — a factory, a distributor, sometimes a second distributor — with a markup added at every stop.

We work differently. At Exar Traders, we source ceramics and glassware directly, which means fewer hands between production and your shelf, and pricing that reflects that.

Being factory-direct isn’t just about cost, though — it’s also about accountability. When there are fewer layers between us and the source, it’s easier to stand behind what we sell, and easier to sort things out quickly if something isn’t right.

Every order, whether it’s a single piece for a retail customer or a bulk order for a dealer, goes through the same GST-compliant process, and every shipment gets reinforced, breakage-resistant packing before it heads out — ceramics and glassware don’t forgive careless handling in transit, so we don’t cut corners there.

We’re still growing our catalogue and our reach across India, and this blog will be a place to share that — new product categories as we add them, sourcing notes, and practical tips for anyone buying ceramics or glassware in bulk.
